Celina’s residents are super excited about its annual 4th of July weekends, as these events are always memorable. Each year, the city administration of Celina and Champion Waste & Recycling Services organize a patriotic Splash & Blast celebration to pay tribute to America’s love for freedom. Let's see what's in store for the visitors.
Live Music
The festival’s organizers have included a live music concert in the event’s program. You will have an opportunity to listen to amazing hits by Buffet Beach Band, Barefoot Nation, and Party Kings. The bands' overflowing energy and unique styles make them extremely popular in Texas. Barefoot Nation will especially grab the audience's attention since it's a tribute band to Kenny Chesney, a legendary country singer. The performances will span from 5 pm to 9:30 pm, so you'll have all the time in the world to dance to your heart's content.
Food & Drinks
We highly recommend coming to Splash & Blast hungry because, in this case, you’ll be able to taste an abundance of delicious snacks and full-fledged meals from local vendors. There will be many food & beverage trucks on the event’s territory, so you will have a huge assortment of meals and beverages to choose from.
Entertainment
Also, consider visiting the festival market, which is full of souvenirs and other cool patriotic stuff from the local artists and craftsmen. And while you’re busy picking out souvenirs, your little ones are welcome to spend time on water slides, foam pits, and inflatables in the kids' zone. If you and your family are up for the challenge, try your hand at the Ninja Nation Obstacle Course, but you might want to bring closed-toe shoes due to the nature of the game.
Fireworks Show
The cherry on top of all this amusement is the fireworks display, which is sure to dazzle all attendees with its beauty. It begins at the end of the night, at 9:30 pm, which is right after sunset. After a day of fun and activities, families come together to witness the dazzling lights display presented by the local philanthropists and sponsors. To watch the spectacle comfortably, you may want to grab a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on with your loved ones.
Location & Schedule
The Splash & Blast celebration begins at 5 pm at Old Celina Park and continues for 5 hours, ending at 10 pm. The event’s administration highly encourages not to bring pets. Children, on the other hand, are more than welcome to come. To get to and from the venue, there will be buses available from 5 pm until 10 pm. The Splash and Blast is also completely free to attend.
