Every year, the Seattle area offers plenty of activities during July 4th weekend, including parties, exhibitions, parades, shows, and, of course there, is no shortage of fireworks! Whatever neighborhood you are in, you will find something to do, and the firework displays will illuminate the darkest night.

Seafair Summer Fourth (virtual in 2021)

The annual July 4th Seafair attracts visitors for a day full of fun to Gas Works Park and Lake Union Park. These two parks are known to have the best views of grand firework shows over Lake Union held after dusk at 10 pm. Gas Works Park's main stage offers plenty of live music, beer gardens, and excellent food. The All-American Games in Gas Works Park consist of pie-eating contests, sack races, and much more. Gas Works Park's festivities start at noon, while Lake Union Park, offers entertainment after 4 pm. Both locations have free admission.

Bellevue Family 4th (July 4, 2021, only fireworks)

Bellevue Family 4th is more of a family-oriented event in the town of Bellevue. A day full of fun activities, Bellevue Family 4th ends with a 10 pm fireworks show at the Bellevue Downtown Park. Bellevue Youth Symphony will play before, during, and after the fireworks.

Burien Independence Day Parade (canceled for 2021)

If you are up for a traditional patriotic parade, visit the town of Burien. The 4th of July parade includes marching bands, floats, and plenty of people in costumes around Burien Town Square.
