Every year, the Seattle area offers plenty of activities during July 4th weekend, including parties, exhibitions, parades, shows, and, of course, there is no shortage of fireworks! Whatever neighborhood you are in, you will find something to do, and the firework displays will illuminate the darkest night.
Seafair Summer Fourth (July 4, 2023)
The annual July 4th Seafair attracts visitors to Gas Works Park and Lake Union Park for a day full of fun. These two parks are known to have the best views of grand firework shows over Lake Union held after dusk at 10 pm. Gas Works Park's main stage offers plenty of live music, beer gardens, and excellent food. The All-American Games in Gas Works Park consist of pie-eating contests, sack races, and much more. Gas Works Park's festivities start at noon, while Lake Union Park offers entertainment after 4 pm. Both locations have free admission.
Bellevue Family 4th (July 4, 2023)
Bellevue Family 4th is more of a family-oriented event in the town of Bellevue. The event ends with a 10 pm fireworks show at the Bellevue Downtown Park. Bellevue Youth Symphony will play before, during, and after the fireworks.
Burien Independence Day Parade (July 4, 2023)
If you are up for a traditional patriotic parade, visit the town of Burien. The 4th of July parade includes marching bands, floats, and plenty of people in costumes around Burien Town Square. Thousands of spectators line the streets to watch the parade, which usually begins in the afternoon and lasts a couple of hours, until approximately 5 pm. One of the most well-attended events in Burien, the parade attracts people from all across the area. Admission to the parade is free.
