Sacramento bestows dozens of diverse opportunities to mark your unforgettable 4th of July experience. These include patriotic parades, festivals, and, most importantly, the fireworks! The program changes yearly, yet, we've got you covered on the top five annual celebrations in and near the City of Trees! Read on to find out more details!

Fourth on the Field at Sutter Health Park (July 4, 2022)

One of the most popular ways to spend Independence Day is the Fourth on the Field at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. Bring your whole family to the famed ballpark to witness a pompous performance by Sacramento Philarmonic & Opera. The gates open at 7 pm, and the concert starts at 8 pm. The evening culminates at 9:30 pm with a unique fireworks display choreographed to the live orchestra.

Arden Park July 4th Bike Parade and Festival (July 4, 2022)

If you love parades, visit the Arden Park Recreation and Park District, hosting the annual Bike Parade and Festival. The march starts at 10 am, and afterwards, you can enjoy live music, food, and kids' favorite giant inflatables throughout Arden Park from 11 am to 1 pm. Free admission includes the pool too. The hot dog and hamburger meals are available for $5 and $6, respectively.

Rancho Cordova Fourth of July (July 3–4, 2022)

Moving further eastwards to Rancho Cordova, you'll find another wonderful celebration. The annual two-day Rancho Cordova Fourth of July features a morning race and a parade on Coloma Road, as well as evening concerts and fireworks at Hagan Community Park. Whether you visit on July 3 or 4, the live music and pyrotechnics are equally splendid. The admission is only $5, and parking is $10.

Elk Grove Salute to the Red, White, and Blue (July 4, 2022)

Elk Grove's 4th of July is likewise worth visiting. This southeastern suburb of Sactown is generally considered as one of the best places to live in California. On Independence Day, the city hosts a free family-friendly Salute to the Red, White, and Blue event at Elk Grove Park. The celebration lasts from 5 pm to 10 pm and features live music, food, and a spectacular firework show.

Roseville 4th of July Celebration (July 4, 2022)

Our last suggestion to make 4th of July memories near California's capital is 4th of July Celebration in Sac's northeast suburb Roseville. The main highlight is a parade setting off from the intersection of Riverside Ave and Douglas Blvd onto Vernon St at 9 am. The merriments continue at @theGrounds at 4 pm, with kid-friendly activities, games, and firework extravaganza, scheduled between 9:15 pm and 9:30 pm.
