El Pasoans are always ready to celebrate Independence Day with a blast. Many locals gather over a glass of wine or beer with a barbeque in the backyard, while others visit various events. But almost everyone heads to the places with the best views to enjoy the breathtaking fireworks. Equally exciting and interesting events will take place in Las Cruces, New Mexico, which is located 46 miles (74 km) from El Paso and Fort Bliss, Texas, within 6.7 miles (10 km).

El Paso Fireworks Show 2024

The El Paso County Parks & Recreation Department organizes an entertaining celebration at Ascarate Park for people of all ages. With the kick off at 3 pm, the 4th July Celebration at Ascarate Park includes mouth-watering snacks, swimming, and a fireworks display at 9:20 pm. Parking costs $5 per vehicle with no admission fee for walking on-site.

Also, locals and visitors can join the Chihuahuas and GECU at the ballpark for three nights of Independence Day celebration, including a specialty jersey auction and a wonderful fireworks display. Presented by GECU, this fireworks spectacular occupies Southwest University Park.

In addition to the fireworks listed above, El Paso has many other places where you can enjoy the colorful sky. For example, head to Wet N Wild, which is open from 10 am, with the fireworks show at 9 pm. Western Playland Amusement Park in Sunland Park also welcomes everyone to celebrate the 4th of July. They are open from 5:30 pm, with the fireworks celebration starting at around 9:30 pm.

El Paso 4th July Parade and Events

Don't miss a great chance to enjoy the Annual People's Parade hosted by the El Paso De Norte Lions Club. Usually, the Lions 4th of July Parade in east El Paso starts at 9 am at Hanks High School. Its route goes from Montwood High School along Montwood Drive to Yarbrough Avenue, with the endpoint at Album Park on Album Avenue.

Alternatively, the Rotary Club of West El Paso organizes the annual Independence Day Parade on the city's west side. The Rotary Club of West El Paso is part of the global network of Rotary clubs, with a collective membership of 1.2 million Rotarians. The Club actively contributes to the El Paso region by spearheading various endeavors, including youth camps and scholarships, international youth and friendship exchanges, and literacy projects. The parade starts on July 4 at 9 a.m. and goes down Shadow Mountain and Mesa streets.

Guests will also have vivid emotions and grandiose memories at the La Perla in the Plaza Hotel 4th of July celebration and during the Fourth of July event at Ardovino's Desert Crossing.

Fort Bliss 4th of July Firework and Concert

If you want to enjoy music on this day, then the Pop Goes the Fort concert at Fort Bliss is the event to attend. The El Paso Symphony Orchestra will present a spectacular concert on Independence Day at Biggs Park. Admission is free, but guests are required to obtain a Community Pass beforehand. The gates will open at 4 p.m., and the concert will start at 7 p.m. The musical program will end with a wonderful fireworks display in the park.
