An American city with a Mexican flair, El Paso is known for stunning desert scenery, a laid-back way of living, and a blend of Texan-Mexican cuisines. The weather is generally dry and sunny year-round, with summer temperatures reaching upwards of 98°F (37°C). The best time to visit El Paso is during the milder seasons of fall, from September through November, and spring, from March through May.

During fall, especially in October and November, the hotel prices are significantly cheaper. These months also offer prime opportunities to explore the outdoors, including Franklin Mountains State Park, and witness a vibrant Dia de los Muertos celebration. Spring is a fairly busy season, with numerous festivals happening in the city. Various wildflowers, including Mexican gold poppies, bloom in late January through April, making it the perfect time to explore the parks. The hotel prices might increase due to local graduation ceremonies.

El Paso's winter temperatures typically drop to 50-60°F (10-15°C) and sometimes even below freezing. There are fewer tourists in the city, which might be your best bet to explore the city's attractions. However, the event scene is fairly sparse during the winter season. Summer, on the other hand, holds quite a few celebrations, including Viva! El Paso, but also sees an influx of visitors. The summer heat can be intense during the day, with cooler temperatures at night.
