Atlantic City is always glamorous; however, the atmosphere in the city gets extra special for Independence Day celebrations. The breathtaking 4th of July firework displays over the waterfront Broadwalk and the Marina are among the most popular Fourth of July events in New Jersey.
Atlantic City also offers some exclusive entertainment, gambling, and parties during the 4th of July Weekend. Celebrity performers and DJs take the stage at Ocean Casino Resort, HQ2 Beachclub, Resorts Hotel and Casino, the Claridge Hotel, Renault Winery Resort & Golfand, and many other venues. In addition, the Atlantic City area offers parades, 5Ks, community festivals, and celebrations.
North Beach Atlantic City Fireworks Celebration (June 28, 2024)
North Beach is always the first to kick off Independence Day festivities in Atlantic City. The annual oceanfront fireworks spectacular takes place on June 28 at 9:30 pm.The fireworks are free and open to the public. Best viewing spots include Steel Pier, Resorts Casino Hotel, Ocean Casino Resort, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, and Showboat. Tennessee Avenue restaurants are sponsoring celebration, which features live music, food, drink specials, and various activities. The festivities will run from 6 to 9 pm at the North Beach Boardwalk area.
Tropicana July 4th Fireworks (July 4, 2024)
Tropicana Fireworks is one of the best shows that shouldn't be missed during the 4th of July Weekend. The fireworks, which start at 10 pm, are launched in front of the Tropicana and at the Steel Pier. The show is produced by the famous fireworks company Grucci. Several viewing parties for this event are held in venues located on the Boardwalk.
Margate City Fireworks Extravaganza (July 4, 2024)
Margate City, located just five miles down the coast from Atlantic City, also holds an impressive fireworks show during the Independence Day celebration. The city, famous for its giant Lucy the Elephant statue, gathers on the beach at Huntington Avenue at 9 pm to celebrate America's birthday with a big bang. The annual extravaganza is held by the Mothers of Margate Association. Attendees are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets for the best fireworks experience.
OCNJ 4th of July fireworks (July 4, 2024)
Ocean City, New Jersey, located 20 miles south of Atlantic City, is another popular 4th of July destination. The celebration starts in the morning with several Bike Parades going throughout town. The free Ocean City Pops Outdoor Concert takes place at 8 pm at Carey Stadium, 6th & Boardwalk. The legendary local orchestra plays all-time favorites and patriotic classics. The audience can bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. However, the main highlight of the celebration is a spectacular fireworks display, happening on the Ocean City Broadwalk at 9 pm.
Northfield 4th of July Parade
If you're looking for a small-town 4th of July experience, head to Northfield in Atlantic County. This suburban town hosts the annual 4th of July Parade at 10 am. The parade route goes down Shore Road and Mill Road, all the way to Birch Grove Park. Attendees can enjoy complimentary ice cream, hot dogs, and soda at the Burton Avenue Fire Station Pavilion.
