Webster Groves Community Days is an annual event to celebrate the 4th of July. Aside from the carnival and barbecue, all events are free and funded by donations from businesses, organizations, and citizens. You can join this celebration and dive deeper into this festive atmosphere with events such as Lions Club Carnival, Midway Booths and BBQ, Children’s Pet Parade, and Independence Day Fireworks.
Webster Groves Parade and Carnival
The celebration called Webster Groves Community Days extends over several days close to July 4 and features barbecue, a midway carnival, and live entertainment.
Children's Pet Parade
The Children's Pet Parade admission to this event is free. Children 15 years old and younger can participate in the parade. Participants can bring dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, iguanas, or anyone else they consider a pet to the parade. Only wild animals are excluded.
Lions Club Carnival, Midway Booths and BBQ
Lions Club Carnival, Midway Booths, and BBQ take place on the grounds of Eden Seminary. It’s a $30 unlimited-ride wristband day. The menu includes pork burgers, chicken, bratwursts, burgers, and hotdogs. It's a good-natured competition where pets, with some help from their owners, compete in different categories: Best Trick, Animal/Owner Doppelganger and Best Float, and Pet jokes (available for kids with or without pets).

But the main program highlights is a parade at Lockwood Avenue and Selma Avenue. The endpoint is located at Elm & Glendale. The amazing fireworks display kicks off at about 9:45 pm at Memorial Field. What's more, the organizers set up a safety zone to safely enjoy the bright sky. Grab your blanket and some snacks, and enjoy the show.

Kirkwood's annual Independence Day extravaganza, known as the Freedom Festival, lights up Kirkwood Park on the 4th of July.
