The fireworks light up the sky over the Atlantic City with a colorful state-of-the-art display, which includes pyrotechnic illuminations, designed scenes, and vivid effects. They are usually shot off from the beach in front of the Tropicana Atlantic City Hotel & Casino. However, you can view the fireworks from any spot along the beach, the Atlantic City Boardwalk and even neighboring Ventnor City.

Apart from the fireworks display, Tropicana’s Palm Walk area inside the resort also hosts a balloon drop right at midnight. Moreover, its Trop’s Boogie Nights dance club organizes a New Year party with hors d’oeuvres, and a two-hour open bar. Or you can enjoy the night out at the Pool After Dark at Harrah's Resort, which offers an open bar from 9 pm to 11 pm and a celebrity DJ. Other popular parties take place at Caesar's Atlantic City, TEN Casino, The Showboat Hotel, and Bally's, which offers holiday shows, Frost Bar, and New Year Day Brunch.

A nice way to start the New Year is to join the annual Atlantic City Polar Bear Plunge, which traditionally takes place at Resorts Casino Hotel on New Year’s Day. This ticketed event provides support to the Cancer Support Community New Jersey. So, by partaking in this extravaganza you'll also contribute to the good cause.
