Nagaoka Fireworks Festival 2025 in Japan
This grand fireworks finale spans over two kilometers of the riverbank!

This festival is held over two nights on the Shinano River. It features the widest span of fireworks in the world, and the festival's signature is the Phoenix Shell, which is considered to be a symbol of the 2004 Nigata Earthquake recovery efforts.
Dates and Location
The Nagaoka Fireworks Festival takes place annually on August 2-3, from 7:20 pm to 9:10 pm on both days at the riverbank of the Shinano River. The fireworks are launched over the Shinano River, with viewing stands set up on both sides of the river from upstream of Chosei Bridge to downstream of Ote Ohashi Bridge.
Tickets and Parking
There are only paid spots available for watching the show. Tickets are required for children in elementary school and above. There will be a temporary parking lot for those who make reservations and a parking lot near the fireworks venue.
