The Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light Show (also known as Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy) by the Canadian Museum of History has become the highlight of the summer in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. Throughout six evenings, five pyrotechnic designers from different countries will create unique and stunning pyro-musical displays where fireworks are synchronized with an original soundtrack.

2024 Fireworks Schedule

In 2024, the Casino du Lac‑Leamy Sound of Light Show opens on July 31st. The Grand Opening features Royale Pyrotechnie Firm. On August 3rd, the viewers can see Dancing Fireworks Firm from China. On August 7th, the skies will be lit up by Zaragozana Pirotecnia from Spain. On August 10th, the show features the performance by Caribe Fire FX Firm from Barbados. On August 14th, the public can see the performance by MLE Pyrotechnics Firm from the United Kingdom. The grand finale of the show will occur on August 17th, with the performance by Royale Pyrotechnie, a Quebec firm from St. Pie. The Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy show programming always starts at 6 pm.

Where to watch

Visitors can view the Lac-Leamy Fireworks at the Canadian Museum of History, the Nepean Point and also at the Bytown Museum (Ottawa Locks). What is more, you can buy tickets to the show that includes a performance, dinner service, and an after-show musical program.

Tickets

To watch the spectacular Casino du Lac‑Leamy Grands Feux from a reserved seating area with special programming, the public needs to buy tickets. One firework ticket is $37,50. Admission without a reserved seat is $16.50. The pass to see all six fireworks is $147. Don't forget to reserve early. History of the Show

Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy was first presented in 1996 and has since featured some of the best fireworks designers from around the world. In 2012, Royal Pyrotechenie became the official supplier of pyro-musical services for the show, which was then held at The Lac-Leamy. In 2014, the show moved downtown to the Canadian Museum of History. The grand finale of the show is undoubtedly the most massive event that attracts crowds with their eyes glued to the sparkling sky. For over 25 years, the show has been one of the premier events in the world's pyrotechnics industry.
