Events & Activities
One of the festival's highlights is the Austin Highland Games, where participants of all ages compete in various strength-based challenges. Competitions include the iconic Caber Toss, where competitors throw a trimmed tree trunk, and other events designed for men, women, and children. In addition to the games, festival-goers can enjoy the Celtic Dog Parades, featuring traditional breeds, as well as demonstrations such as sheepdog herding and historical reenactments showcasing the life of Celtic villages.
Music Lineup
Music and dance are central to the festival, with performances from renowned Celtic artists. This year’s lineup features musicians like Cillian Vallely, a respected piper, and JigJam, a group blending Irish music with bluegrass. Attendees can also participate in workshops ranging from traditional arts to scotch tastings, providing a chance to learn new skills while immersing themselves in Celtic culture.

The Austin Celtic Festival offers various ticket options for attendees. Daily tickets are priced at $25 for adults aged 17 and over, while children between the ages of 5 and 16 can attend for just $12, with kids under 5 enjoying free admission. For those looking to make the most of the festival, advance weekend passes are available at $42 for adults and $20 for children, granting entry for both Saturday and Sunday. It’s important to note that tickets must be purchased online in advance, as no sales will be available at the gate.
