The Great Balloon Race is probably the best ballooning event found in Britain. Its main peculiarity is that the festival takes place three times per year, and each one is set in a different stunning location. The program of the Great Balloon Race is pretty similar in every venue. Besides hot air balloon rides, there will be balloon night glows and various entertainments. The merriments usually conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.
Times & venues
The last editions of the Great Balloon Race were planned in Shuttleworth Estate, Charlton Park, and Weston Park. The celebrations were scheduled for a weekend in June, August, and September correspondingly. More earlier events also used to take place on the grounds of Bolesworth Castle and Bowood House and Gardens. But times and venues are subject to change.
