Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival 2024 in New York State

The best way to discover the beautiful landscapes of the Hudson Valley is from above. The annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival held in summer at Tymor Park in Union Vale, NY, has been one of the region's most successful events for over 20 years. New York's scenic landscapes are transformed into a kaleidoscope of vivid colors and surreal shapes during the Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival, enthralling both locals and tourists.

Fest Program

On Saturday and Sunday at dawn, the celebration comes alive with the captivating mass ascent of hot air balloons. These towering giants soar gently into the early morning sky, creating a breathtaking panorama that perfectly reflects the essence of the area's natural beauty. After the majestic balloon show, the event provides a lovely mix of activities and entertainment. Event highlights include nightly fireworks and the evening Majestic Hot-Air Balloon Illumination Moon Glow.

Participants have the option of tethered or untethered balloon rides, offering a unique chance to soar over the Hudson Valley and take in its allure from above. Live music, a wide variety of gastronomic options, and the excitement of family-friendly events fill the grounds, fostering a happy and supportive atmosphere. You have an opportunity to unwind during the sunrise yoga with balloons while your children can test their drone skills in the Drone Zone Obstacle Course.

Music Lineup & Entertainment

The Silver Starlets, a female aerobatic duo, will stun the audience with their one-of-a-kind 45-minute performance at the 20-foot (6 m) trapeze during each day of the festival. On Friday, the North County Band, an indie-pop ensemble, will perform at the main stage of the event, followed by 50 Amp Fuse on Saturday. Lucky House close out the lineup for this year's balloon fest with their concert on Sunday.

Schedule

The festival opens with its evening program on Friday at 2:30 pm. The morning program takes place from 5:30 am until 9 am on Saturday and Sunday, while the evening program is scheduled from 2:30 pm until 8:30 pm. Early morning lift-off takes place at 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday, while evening ones are scheduled at 5:30 pm. Music performances span from 3 pm until 8 pm on all three days. The Silver Starlets show is scheduled at 8 am, 3:15 pm, 4:45 pm, and 6:30 pm. The fireworks show and the balloon glow will kick off at 7:30 pm each day.

Tickets

Admission tickets and full balloon rides may only be purchased in advance online. The tickets cost $14 for morning admission and $24 for evening admission. Tethered rides are $30 per person, cash only and on-site. Residents of Union Wale can enjoy special pricing privileges. The price for morning and evening hot-air balloon flights is $350 per person. All Weekend Access Pass costs $38 per person and can be used for all three days. Children's admission under the age of three is free. Parking at the venue is free as well.
