What to expect
At dawn, the celebration comes alive with the captivating mass ascent of hot air balloons. These towering giants soar gently into the early morning sky, creating a breathtaking panorama that perfectly reflects the essence of the area's natural beauty.
After the majestic balloon show, the event provides a lovely mix of activities and entertainment. Participants have the option of tethered or untethered balloon rides, offering a unique chance to soar over the Hudson Valley and take in its allure from above. Live music, a wide variety of gastronomic options, and the excitement of family-friendly events fill the grounds, fostering a happy and supportive atmosphere.
Schedule
The festival starts at 2:30 pm on Friday. Event highlights include nightly fireworks and the evening Majestic Hot-Air Balloon Illumination Moon Glow. Early morning lift-off takes place at 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday.
Program
There are also tethered rides and rides in the hot-air balloons available for the public. About 75 balloon launches are scheduled during the festival. In addition, vendors and food trucks, live music, family games, beer/wine tent, and lots of other fun activities are planned.
Tickets
Admission tickets and full balloon rides may only be purchased in advance online. Tethered rides are $25 per person, cash only and on-site. The price for morning and evening hot-air balloon flights is $350 per person. All Weekend Access Pass costs $27.95 per person and can be used for all three days. Children's admission under the age of three is free of charge. Parking here is free as well. All balloon launches are wind and weather permitting.
