Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival Featured in
The best way to discover the beautiful landscapes of the Hudson Valley is from above. Therefore the annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival held in summer at the Tymor Park, Union Vale, NY, has been one of the region's most successful events for over 20 years.
The festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors. Many come from New York City, but there are guests from all over the world. The festival starts at 2:30 pm on Friday. Highlights include nightly fireworks and the evening Majestic Hot-Air Balloon Illumination Moon Glow. Early morning lift-off takes place at 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. There are also tether rides and rides in the hot-air balloons available for the public. About 75 balloon launches are scheduled during the festival. In addition to that, vendors and food trucks, live music, family games, beer/wine tent, and lots of other fun activities are planned.
Admission tickets and full balloon rides may only be purchased in advance online. Tether rides are $25 per person, cash only on-site. The price for morning and evening hot-air balloon flights is $275 per person. All Weekend Access Pass costs $23.95 per person and can be purchased online only and can be used for all three days.
