Singha Park International Balloon Fiesta, often referred to as the Chiang Rai International Balloon Fiesta, is a renowned annual event in Thailand. Held each February in Chiang Rai, the festival combines vibrant hot-air balloon displays with cultural activities, making it a key attraction for locals and international visitors.

Activities

The centerpiece of the Singha Park International Balloon Fiesta is its array of hot air balloons, which number over 35 and hail from countries like the United States, Japan, Switzerland, and Thailand. According to organizers, the balloons participate in daily competitions, showcasing intricate designs and piloting skills.

Visitors can enjoy tethered balloon rides, which offer an opportunity to experience the thrill of ballooning while remaining close to the ground. For a more elevated experience, one-hour flights are available, complete with a champagne toast to cap off the adventure. The event also features the Magic Night Glow, a nighttime spectacle where balloons light up in sync with music, creating a mesmerizing display of color and sound.

Aside from balloon activities, the festival offers diverse attractions, including live music, food stalls featuring Thai and international cuisine, and beer gardens. As Valentine’s Day coincides with the event, couples are drawn to the romantic atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for celebrations of love.
