Singha Park International Balloon Fiesta, also known as Chiang Rai International Balloon Fiesta, is one of the largest ballooning events in Thailand. The annual festival is held every February in Chiang Rai, located northeast of Chiang Mai. Over 35 balloons are launched into the skies during the four-day fiesta.
Singha Park International Balloon Fiesta gathers pilots from 14 countries to participate in competitions and daily mass ascensions. In addition to balloons, attendees can visit food stalls, beer gardens and enjoy live entertainment. Many couples are drawn to the festival with an opportunity to celebrate St. Valentine's Day high in the skies. One-hour hot balloon rides are available for the public, with a special champagne treat at the end.
At night, the Magic Night Glow is another romantic experience that can't be missed. Hot Air Balloon Tethering Show with live music is performed every night of the festival. The show, lasting for two hours, features six specially chosen balloon performances and various entertainment.
