Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival Events and Activities

The Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place in fall, when leaves are blazing with warm hues. Thus, it is a perfect way to celebrate Halloween in a unique and eerie way. A canvas of entrancing and strange scenes is created in the nighttime sky as balloons with spooky designs take to the air. Seeing these enormous lit balloons float elegantly over the night sky is definitely a sight for sore eyes.

Festival Program

The Slatington Airport grounds are filled with a range of diverse activities and entertainment suitable for all age groups. The Spooktacular Balloon Festival is the largest laser light hot air balloon festival in the Northeast. However, in addition to watching giant balloons covering the sky, you can also enjoy tethered hot air balloon rides, laser night balloon glow, food vendors, music, and different family activities. Fireworks will end the festival night on both Friday and Saturday after dark.

Open Hours

The Festival events start on Friday at 4 pm and on both Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. The ride balloons will begin inflating daily around 7:30 am and 4:30 pm. weather permitting.

Tickets and Parking

General Admission for one festival day costs $25 plus a $4.50 fee, and Child Admission (ages 12 and under) costs $15 plus a $2.70 fee. Visitors can also buy a VIP Admission and Weekend Pass. Prepaid parking is $10 plus a $2.70 fee.
