FanX Salt Lake, previously known as Salt Lake Comic Con, is a bi-annual pop culture expo held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, occurring over a weekend in late September. Renowned as Utah's most attended event of its kind and one of North America's largest themed gatherings, the convention is a flagship event of Dan Farr Productions, co-founded by Dan Farr and Bryan Brandenburg.

At the FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, programming hours run from 2 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, 12 pm to 8 pm on Friday, and 11 am to 7 pm on Saturday, while the vendor floor operates from 1:30 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, 11:30 am to 8 pm on Friday, and 10:30 am to 7 pm on Saturday.

A Thursday pass is available for $20, while a Friday pass costs $35, and a Saturday pass is priced at $50. For those looking to enjoy the full convention experience, a 3-Day Multipass is available for $65. Additionally, there's the Ruby Pass, offering enhanced perks and access for $129, and the VIP Pass, providing the ultimate convention experience for $329. All children aged ten years old and younger can enjoy free entrance with the purchase of an Adult Pass. FanX Salt Lake Pop Culture & Comic Convention takes place at Salt Palace Convention Center.
History of FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention
The first Salt Lake Comic Con in 2013 attracted 70,000 attendees, featuring stars like Adam West and Stan Lee. A legal dispute with San Diego Comic-Con over the term "Comic Con" led to rebranding as FanX. Despite subsequent global expansions, internal issues arose, leading to Bryan Brandenburg's departure and a shift in focus for the convention. Since its inauguration, the show has been attended by celebrities such as Chris Evans, Tom Felton, Elijah Wood, Stan Lee, Dick Van Dyke, Jason Momoa, Sir Patrick Stewart, Mark Hamill, Jeremy Renner, Matt Smith, and Buzz Aldrin, to name a few.
