Louisiana Comic Con is a two-day popular culture event dedicated to sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, video gaming, film, TV, and more. The convention, held at Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette every October, attracts about 5000 people. Vendors, artists, celebrities, and fan groups come together in a diverse, family-friendly environment.
Louisiana Comic Con showcases talented local artists from Louisiana and around the Lafayette area. Several hundreds exhibitors offer everything from toys, comic books, magazines, and costumes to video games and collectibles.
Celebrity panels and autograph sessions are among the biggest highlights of the convention. The list of previous guests includes Sean Astin (Actor), Denise Crosby (Actor), John Beatty (Comic Artist, DC Comics), Michael Biehn (Actor / Director), Jason Douglas (Actor), Jason David Frank (Actor), Haiden Hazard (Cosplayer), John Morton (Actor), Mike Zeck (Artist), Justin Briner (Voice Actor), David J. Fielding (Actor), Walter E. Jones (Actor), Jamie Marchi (Actor), Bob McLeod (Comic Creator), Kel Mitchell (Actor), Carolina Ravassa (Actor), Tim Rose (Actor), and Austin St. John (Actor). The convention runs from 10 am to 6 pm. Children 10 years and younger are admitted for free accompanied by an adult that purchased a ticket (up to 2 kids per adult).
