Fan Expo Chicago is a renowned convention celebrating comics, anime, fantasy, video games, sci-fi, and TV programming. Hosted at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, it draws tens of thousands of fans. The event features exciting family-friendly attractions, events, and appearances by world-renowned celebrities.

Schedule of Events

The four-day Fan Expo Chicago runs from 4 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, 10 am to 7 pm on Friday, 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday, and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

Events & Activities

The convention features autograph signings, photo ops, panel discussions, workshops, and unique events such as Fan Expo Chicago Idolfest and gaming tournaments. Artist Alley is a special area where attendees can meet authors, graphic designers, and other creators, offering a chance to connect with rising stars in the comics industry and shop for limited edition prints, original art, and sketches. The giant Show Floor also hosts dozens of exhibitors selling toys, clothes, and various merchandise. Family-friendly attractions include Slime Time, the Family Zone, and Padawan Training.

Fan Expo Chicago's comic attractions are a must-see for attendees. Highlights include the Ghost Machine Special Experience, an exclusive dinner party, and the Kubert School Creator Academy, where aspiring artists can learn from the best. Fan Expo Denver boasts an impressive lineup of celebrities this year, including Mark Hamill, Marisa Tomei, Matthew Lillard, William Shatner, Charlie Cox, Adam Savage, Gina Carano, Cole Sprouse, Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, and others. Attendees can look forward to meeting iconic voices from beloved animations such as Winnie the Pooh, Avatar, Scooby-Doo, Pinky and the Brain, Futurama, and Transformers. Adding to the thrill are special guests from the anime world, with representatives from My Hero Academia, Naruto, Spy × Family, and other anime titles. For Fan Expo Denver, single-day tickets start at $38, while a three-day pass ranges from $89 to $99. The ultimate fun package is available for around $81-116. Tickets start at $33 for youth aged 13-17. Children aged 6-12 can attend for $12. Family packages are available ranging from $81 to $116. Ultimate Fan Package tickets provide floor access, panel rooms/theater access for $129.

History of Convention

Originally launched as Chicago Comic Con in 1972 and later rebranded as Wizard World Chicago in 1998, the show has featured notable celebrities and creators such as Stan Lee, Michael J. Fox, John Travolta, Carrie Fisher, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, WWE Superstar John Cena, David Boreanaz, and many more.
