The oldest and the largest cosplay event in New Mexico
Dates: January 17-19, 2025
Albuquerque Comic Con has been the premier cosplay and pop culture gathering in New Mexico for over 12 years. The popular event, held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Downtown Albuquerque every January, gathers thousands of fans, actors, writers, artists, and cosplay enthusiasts. It showcases comics, video games, films, and various aspects of popular culture.
Visitors can enjoy shopping collectibles and various rare items, from toys and movies to art and clothes. Among other attractions of Albuquerque Comic Con are interactions with celebrities and cosplay competitions. The Masquerade cosplay contest gives participants a chance to show off their beautiful costumes on stage with a one-of-a-kind performance, a song, or a dance.
Panel discussions are Q & As with Comic Con guests, which give fans the chance to meet celebrities. Past guests of the convention included Mickie James, Dwayne Cameron, Michael Biehn, Bruce Boxleitner, Ming Chen, Michael Copon, Erin Cahill, Cynthia Cranz, Grey DeLisle-Griffin and Kara Edwards.
The three-day Albuquerque Comic Con weekend runs from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, 9 am to 8 pm on Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. The 3-day pass to the convention is about $60. Daily ticket prices vary from $20 to $40 at the door.
