Toronto Comicon is held every March at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Cosplay, of course, is the main reason why people are so attracted to this 3-day event. You will surely see here all your favorite pop culture characters. The atmosphere of Toronto Comicon is very relaxed, and many just stroll through the floors, taking pictures, posing for pictures and socializing. Several panels feature ‘The Legends of Comics’, famous artists and key people of Marvel Comics, such as John McCrea, Dave Dorman, and Howard Mackie. Also, you can learn how special effects are created for series like The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones.
Comicon Toronto was established in 2001 as a one-day event, but in 2007 the annual spring convention was expanded into a multi-day event. In 2012 it incorporated the annual March Toronto AnimeCon (MTAC). It has also expanded its presentations, workshops and attracted more exhibitors. Toronto Comicon is now organized by FAN EXPO Canada.
