Toronto Comicon is held every March at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The three-day event is focused on Sci-Fi, Anime, Horror, and Gaming. Cosplay, of course, is the main reason why people are so attracted to this convention. You will surely see here all your favorite pop culture characters. The atmosphere of Toronto Comicon is very relaxed, and many guests just stroll along the floors, taking pictures, posing for pictures, and socializing.
Several panels feature ‘The Legends of Comics’, famous artists and key people of Marvel Comics, such as John McCrea, Dave Dorman, and Howard Mackie. Previous guests of the Toronto Comicon also included Kathy Najimy, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Austin St. John, and Breckin Meyer. Also, you can learn how special effects are created for series like The Walking Dead, Lord of The Rings, or Game of Thrones. The convention also features a huge show floor for a fantastic shopping experience with plenty of unique items on display.
Comicon Toronto was established in 2001 as a one-day event, but in 2007 the annual spring convention was expanded into a multi-day event. In 2012 it incorporated the annual March Toronto AnimeCon (MTAC). It has also expanded its presentations, workshops and attracted more exhibitors. Toronto Comicon is now organized by FAN EXPO Canada.
