History of Granite State Comic Con

Granite State Comic Con was first held in 2003 as a small, one-day event without celebrity guests. Despite its modest beginnings, the convention was well-received, setting the stage for its growth. Over the past two decades, Granitecon has expanded significantly, now attracting major comic creators, celebrities, and a wide range of vendors and attendees. The event is organized by Double Midnight Productions, which started as a small comic book shop in Manchester, NH. The company has since grown, opening a second store in Concord, NH. According to the organizers, their mission is to maintain a family-friendly, traditional comic book show atmosphere while providing top-notch entertainment.
