Tokyo Comic Con is a popular culture convention dedicated to movies, comics, video games, and animation. It is held in the city of Chiba, 25 mi (40 km) from Tokyo, every winter. The comic con tradition has arrived in Japan with the growing popularity of Marvel superheroes, such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and X-Men.
Event Highlights
The annual gathering near Tokyo, attracting about seventy thousand people, is focused on technology and cosplay, both of which have always been popular in Japan. Fans also have a chance to meet graphic artists, illustrators, actors, and directors.

Previous years' guests at Comic Con Japan have included Keifer Sutherland, Millie Bobby Brown, Christina Ricci, Michael J. Fox, Elijah Wood, Ezra Miller, Jeremy Renner, Peter Weller, Zachary Levi, Orlando Bloom, Mark Ruffalo, Jude Law, Chris Hemsworth, and many others. This year, Tokyo Comic Convention Inc. has revealed the celebrity lineup for Tokyo Comic Convention 2024, featuring Sebastian Stan, Jason Momoa, Morena Baccarin, Ben McKenzie, Christopher Lloyd, John Boyega, and Daniel Logan.
Activities
Tokyo Comic Con's main attractions include photography sessions, autograph signings, and panels that provide fans with close interactions with celebrities. Cosplay is a major highlight of the event, with thousands of fans proudly embodying their favorite characters on stage in the Cosplay Contest. This year, the convention encourages participants to express themselves in a variety of outfits, including themed costumes like bound outfits, American comic-inspired styles, and favorite fashion looks. You can join in individually or with family and friends, making it a memorable experience for all ages. Additionally, secret guests and celebrities are expected to make surprise appearances throughout the event.

Tokyo Comic Con will take place over three days from Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Makuhari Messe in Mihama-ku, Chiba City.
Tickets
A limited number of 3-day passes are available for ¥8,800 (approximately $59). Advance tickets are priced at ¥4,400 (about $30) per day, totaling ¥13,200 (around $88), while same-day tickets cost ¥4,900 (approximately $33) per day, amounting to ¥14,700 (about $99). Note that entry is not permitted for children of elementary school age or younger, and re-entry is allowed during the event. The 3-day pass grants access to the venue, but separate tickets will be required for autographs and photo sessions with actors.
