MCM London Comic Con is a fan convention which showcases comics and fiction. It focuses on video games, cosplay and popular culture featuring participants from the UK, US, Japan, South Korea, France, and Italy. The convention takes place in ExCeL London (Exhibition Centre London) in East London, two times per year, in late May and in late October.
The event has been organised by MCM (Movie Comic Media) Expo Group since 2002. It expanded from a single day to three days major comic con convention with Universal Studios, Twentieth Century Fox, Manga Entertainment UK, and Marvel Comics participating. Visitors are welcome to take part in cosplay and have a chance to enter the EuroCosplay championships.
Comic Village is a special area within the convention that hosts about 200 tables, where amateurs and professionals can sell their comics and prints. That's where meet-and-greet sessions take place with big names in the comic industry like Gail Simone, Kevin Eastman, Frazer Irving, and Antony Johnston.
