Copenhagen Comics is Denmark's most significant comic book and popular culture convention taking place every spring at Øksnehallen in Vesterbro. Having been held since 2004, the convention attracts up to 5,000 fans, comic book creators, celebrity guests, and more.
Copenhagen Comics features a variety of vendors offering comic books, magazines, collectibles, and merchandise. Other highlights of the festival include panels, cosplay, and workshops. Copenhagen Comics also provides a great opportunity to meet graphic artists, writers, and other comic book creators to get an autograph or maybe even a drawing in a comic book album.
Pingprisen, Denmark's major comic books award, is another highlight of Copenhagen Comics. The prize goes to Denmark's best comic book creators in a vibrant and festive award ceremony featuring the best that Danish and international comic art has to offer. It is usually followed by a party that should not be missed.
Copenhagen Comics runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. An adult one-day ticket is DKK 100, a weekend ticket is DKK 150. Kids 5 and under can get in for free.
