Copenhagen Comics 2024
A vibrant comic convention in the capital of Denmark
Dates: May 18-19, 2024
Copenhagen Comics is Denmark's premier comic book and pop culture convention, held annually during the spring season at Øksnehallen in Vesterbro. Since its inception in 2004, the event has drawn in a vibrant community of up to 5,000 enthusiasts, comic book artists, notable guests, and fans of all things pop culture.
Program
Copenhagen Comics boasts a bustling marketplace where vendors offer an array of comic books, magazines, collectibles, and other merchandise. Additionally, attendees can immerse themselves in various activities, including panels, cosplay showcases, and workshops. The festival provides an excellent opportunity to mingle with graphic artists, writers, and other creators, perhaps snagging an autograph or even a personalized drawing.
During the festival, there will be nonstop activities on two stages. Visitors can enjoy interviews with international guests, engaging panel discussions, and other exciting events. Additionally, there will be a designated area with activities specifically tailored for children.
The cosplay program offers diverse activities, including a catwalk, a craftsmanship competition, informative workshops, and lectures.
A standout feature of Copenhagen Comics is the prestigious Pingprisen, Denmark's premier comic book award ceremony. This lively event celebrates Denmark's best comic book creators through an engaging awards presentation showcasing the finest in Danish and international comic art. Following the ceremony, a not-to-be-missed party adds to the festive atmosphere.
