New year's Eve is a great occasion to explore the club and restaurant scene in Dallas. There's also a spectacular firework display and entertainment in Downtown Dallas. Nothing compares to the Reunion Tower Over the Top event, the only 360-degree, panoramic fireworks spectacular which starts one minute before midnight. You can watch the fireworks from the festive City Hall Plaza downtown or from Reunion Tower itself. The tower features two restaurants, and there is a lawn outside. Tickets are required to watch fireworks from these locations.

Sundance Square in Downtown Fort Worth is the place for another large public New Year's Eve celebration in the area. The square usually hosts the countdown, live music, fireworks, food, and drinks as well as various entertainment. However, due to COVID 19, all events on Sundance Square have been canceled in 2020-2021.
