Best season to visit Buenos Aires

Low Season

Colder temperatures means less tourists for Buenos Aires

Best time: June, July, August

Low Season

When days get colder, there is less opportunity for outdoor activities in Buenos Aires. Crowds and prices drop significantly. Nevertheless, lots of attractions are open and plenty of exciting activities will keep you busy in the colder months from June to the end of August.

Theatres and museums, wine tasting for cold nights, and, of course, Argentinian cuisine with some traditional dishes that are only eaten in winter! It is also the time for winter shopping—find the perfect leather jacket or poncho or buy artisan products alongside real gauchos! August in Buenos Aires hosts an international tango festival, including the tango world championship which attracts some of the best dancers from all over the world!
