Maryland Faerie Festival is a two-day family-friendly event dedicated to pageantry, music, and magic. It takes place every June in Darlington, Maryland. The festival was founded in 2005 and boasts a mystic atmosphere and lots of entertainment based on folklore and literature. There is an emphasis on outdoor education for kids as well as dozens of faerie artists and merchants. The weekend festival runs from 10 am to 8 pm.
Fun activities for kids and adults include a walk with Zenlizard around Loch Leff lake to observe wildlife. Pony rides are available near Troll Bridge. Craft Cove will let visitors show off their creative abilities. Faerie Courts will let you find out if you're an Earth, Air, Fire, or Water Spirit. Faerie Fashion Frenzy is a fun fashion show for kids. Faerie Games in the Field include Mushroom Checkers and much more. Glamour Glen, Greenman March and Parade to the Maypole will undoubtedly keep everyone entertained. There are several wishing trees and even a unicorn.
The Maryland Faerie Festival offers beautiful camping experiences to choose from. The Faerie Ring Camping Experience, The Fire & Drum Camping Experience and SummerFest Camping Experience are three camping plans available for visitors. There are also lodge-style cabins and optional meal plans.
