Twice a year in March and September, Kansas City Fashion Week (KCFW) offers a week of runway shows, cocktail parties, and special events. It attracts local and international designers, stylists, make-up artists, models, photographers, and fashion influencers. Kansas City Fashion Week promotes emerging designers like Joshua Christensen, Michael Drummond, and Kelly Calloway.
Kansas City fashion industry dates back to the 1940s when Kansas City's Garment District dressed every one out of seven women in the U.S. and employed over 4,000 employees.
