The oceanfront in summer has the biggest density of tourists. Especially, if you choose such famous places as Lima, Capo Blanco, or Mancora. Summer is also the most suitable period for a flight over the Nazca Lines, so you have to book the flight long in advance to ensure the trip.
In addition, end of December and January is Christmas period, so Peruvians travel within the country as well, which can make it difficult to get the right bus, use domestic flights, or find good offers on hostels.
