Best season to visit Peru

Low Season in the Andes and Amazon

You may get soaked and dirty due to the abundant rain and clay country roads, but this period has so many pros that will make you forget all about it

Best time: December, January, February, March

Low Season in the Andes and Amazon

Rain doesn't attract many people, so when the forecast promises precipitation every day, Peru attracts just the adventurous travelers. However, in reality, it rains often but only for few hours in the afternoon in the Andes, and the Amazon Region receives almost the same amount of rainfall both in summer and winter. As a result, your trip to this area during the low season will be completely rewarding - low prices, few other visitors, new tourist attractions, and no problems with booking hostels.

Just keep in mind that due to bad weather conditions some highland spots may not be accessible and Inca Trail is closed for cleaning in February.
