French toast with a Brazilian flair, a 'must have' on any Christmas table

Rabanada can be eaten any time but still it's a Christmas favourite among Cariocas. Like French toast, Rabanada is made from day-old slices of bread fried in a mixture of milk and eggs, but Brazilians like to pour some special syrup on it. This syrup is made from port, cinnamon, and honey and it adds a spicy flavour to the dessert.
