Tanzania's less popular season runs from March till May. This is when the weather is the hottest and the wettest. Steady rains and clouds tend to limit the views and animals tend to stay in their homes and shelters—it is a bit more unpredictable where you might meet some wildlife. Tropical showers damage the roads and lots of areas become inaccessible. The worst weather is during March and April. Some hotels and lodges close during this time.
