After the short wet season comes the time to dry up for a little bit. Though, there are territories where the wet season continues from November till May without any pause. The continuous wet season can be found in Selous, Ruaha, Mikumi, Gombe, Mahale and Katavi. However, northern and coastal areas tend to have a little break. This period is called the short dry season and runs for only two months in January and February. This is also the period to see lots of Tanzania's wildlife giving birth and raising their young.
