Tropical cyclones represent the greatest threat for the life in Madagascar. Storms destroy crops, damage dwellings and take away people’s lives. Tropical cyclones are likely to strike Madagascan coasts during the rainy season, especially in January, February and early March. To prevent oneself from the natural hazard a trip to Madagascar has to be planned for the period between May and November.
