Berry Season in Scotland 2025
Scotland abounds in strawberries, blackberries, currants, and other juicy sweets
Best time: July–October
Various wild and homegrown berries are abundant in Scotland during summer and early autumn. Strawberries, gooseberries, and currants open the berry season in June and cherries appear in July, August marks the beginning of blueberry and blackberry season which are available until October. The majority of berries are consumed fresh, although also used in pastries and various jams, preserves, and sauces.
