Crab apple jelley with peanut butter makes for a delicious sweet-sour sandwich

Crab apples are a favourite treat of Scottish birds and mammals. People, however, find them too sour and instead prefer to use them to make jelly. A large amount of sugar and lemon juice turn this tartness into the perfect sweet but still acidic jelly. It goes well with biscuits and is heavenly delicious with peanut butter. Crab apple season runs from April through October.
