In autumn rice fields turn to gold and the harvest is undertaken. In contrast to yellow fields, many village houses become red as people put red chilli peppers to dry on the roofs. Starting in October mountainous flowers decorate dark rocky landscapes, especially purple Gentians and white Edelweiss. November is remarkable, as Black-Necked Cranes migrate to Bhutan from Tibet.
