National Finals Rodeo 2024 in Las Vegas

For ten days riders compete in riding skills, racing, lassoing, flailing a bull, and jumping around barrels

Dates: December 5-14, 2024

The National Finals Rodeo (NFR) is one of the most prestigious rodeo events in the U.S., offering a thrilling glimpse into the world of professional rodeo. Every December, Las Vegas becomes the epicenter of this cowboy spectacle, attracting top talent and rodeo enthusiasts from around the country. This year’s NFR promises another action-packed experience with intense competitions and exciting entertainment.

Rodeo Events and Competitions

At the heart of the NFR are the seven signature events that define professional rodeo: saddle bronc riding, bull riding, bareback riding, calf roping, team roping, steer wrestling, and barrel racing. The top 15 contestants in each of these events, who have excelled during the regular season, come to Las Vegas to compete for substantial prizes and the coveted title of champion. Each event showcases exceptional skill, from riding wild horses to precise lasso techniques.

Over the course of ten days, each event is featured in daily competitions known as "go-rounds." Not only do contestants vie for daily victories, but they also compete for the best overall performance across all rounds, referred to as “the average.”

Schedule and Program

The National Finals Rodeo 2024 will take place from December 5 to December 14 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, with each day’s program starting at 5:45 pm. As the organizers assure, fans can expect a consistent schedule, making it easy to plan their visits. Over ten consecutive days, spectators will have numerous opportunities to witness high-level rodeo competitions, all while soaking in the thrilling atmosphere.

According to the organizers, each night will feature a special Wrangler NFR Opening Act, showcasing top musical talent and enhancing the event's festive atmosphere. These performances, ranging from country music stars to military bands, provide a diverse entertainment experience that complements the rodeo. Visitors can also dive deeper into the cowboy culture with themed events and country music concerts throughout the week, making the NFR more than just a competition—it's a full celebration of Western heritage.
