Every May, during Victoria Day weekend, the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair comes alive in Cloverdale Fairgrounds, Surrey. This 4-day extravaganza is one of Western Canada’s cherished family traditions, showcasing a thrilling stampede rodeo and vibrant country fair. Boasting five professional rodeo shows, an indigenous village, live music performances, a plethora of food trucks, an array of carnival rides, family-friendly entertainment, and an abundance of excitement, the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair promises an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.
Schedule of Rodeos
Friday admission hours are 4 pm—11 pm, and the Saturday through Monday schedule is 10 am—11 pm. The Saturday day event starts with a huge parade. There is one rodeo show on Friday and Saturday, two on Sunday, and finals on Monday at 2 pm. At the fairgrounds, you'll find a wide range of activities. For rodeo fans, there will be cowboy competitions, bareback riding, barrel racing, bronco riding, bull riding, and mutton busting. You can also find lumberjack shows and dozens of rides.
The Rodeo Parade (May 18, 2024)
The Cloverdale Rodeo Parade starts at precisely 10 am from the corner of 177B St and Highway #10, proceeding west along Hwy #10 until reaching 176 Street. For the final stretch, the parade turns east near Elements Casino, located at the south end of the Fairgrounds, and continues south on 177B St before concluding at 58 Ave. This traditional parade showcases an array of floats, marching bands, dance groups, clowns, horses, dogs, vintage cars, race cars, trucks, tractors, fire trucks, as well as classic Shelby Mustangs and Custom cars, and the perennial favorite, the Shriners, who have been the largest entrant for over a decade.
County Fair Events
The festival offers over 30 captivating music performances daily from 6 pm to 2 am, creating a lively and relaxed ambiance for attendees. Families can enjoy the kid zone known as Buckaroo Barn and the Farm Friends Animal Display, featuring miniature donkeys, llamas, alpacas, sheep, horses, pigs, and more! Highlighting Canada's rich heritage, the Indigenous Village event showcases the traditions and culture of Indigenous peoples.
Food enthusiasts can indulge in culinary delights such as Rib Fest, The Roundup Cookhouse & Beer Garden, and the charming Hops & Vines Garden. Families can also participate in activities like the World Roundup Freestyle Skateboarding Championships and Cowboy Church. Action-packed events include the West Coast Lumberjack Show, thrilling Pro Wrestling at the Longhorn, and the heartwarming Extreme Dogs tour, dedicated to promoting animal rescue and pet adoption across the nation.
Artist LineUp
Country Fair attendees can anticipate an exciting lineup of over 30 performances spread across five stages. The Longhorn Saloon features artists like DJ Jack Daniels, the Dave Hartney Band, Tumblin' Dice, and Apaloosa. Other stages include the Lordco Auto Parts Outdoor Stage and the Hops and Vines Stage. Headlining performances are set to dazzle fans of all ages. On Sunday, May 19th, at 8:30 pm, 54-40 will take the stage at the Lordco Outdoor Stage for a sunset showcase. Later that evening at 10:30 pm, the spotlight shifts to the Longhorn Saloon, where the Chris Buck Band will captivate the audience.

Visitors can enjoy the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair with admission starting at just $12 (children 12 and under enter for free)—a Country Fair ticket grants access to various attractions on the fairgrounds. Rodeo admission for General (13+) is CAD 20.00, while Youth (3-12) tickets are CAD 7.00. Children aged two and under can enter for free. For a day filled with rides, the All Day Ride Pass is available for CAD 45.00, offering a wristband for unlimited rides without additional tickets.
