During the Christmas season, Grouse Mountain becomes a beloved destination, with a magical Light Walk and Santa with his reindeer making special appearances.
Light Walk
The entrance to the Light Walk is marked by a glowing light tunnel just off the Mountaintop Skating Pond. As you follow the path around Blue Grouse Lake, you can snowshoe or walk through the winter night, with the crunch of snow underfoot adding to the experience. The scene is breathtaking, with the glow of lights set against a majestic mountain backdrop. Thousands of sparkling lights cover the trees, creating a perfect holiday atmosphere. Each year, the light installations change and introduce new elements, with huge light walls and unique figures captivating both locals and tourists alike.
Christmas Activities at Grouse Mountain
Children will delight in watching Christmas movies at The Theatre in the Sky or engaging in festive activities such as crafting Christmas decorations and writing heartfelt letters to Santa at the whimsical Elf Headquarters. At Vancouver's North Pole, they can immerse themselves in all of this and more! At The Peak of Christmas, they’ll have the chance to meet Santa in his workshop, visit his reindeer, experience the enchanting Light Walk, and glide across the sparkling Mountaintop Skating Pond.
Tickets & Hours
The Light Walk is best enjoyed from dusk into the evening when its magical displays truly come to life. This enchanting trail is free to access, with only a lift ticket required for entry. Mountain Admission Tickets are priced at $80 for adults, $70 for seniors, and between $40 and $60 for kids, with children aged four and under admitted for free. Family tickets are available for $205. Be sure to dress warmly and wear snowshoes, as the snowy pathways can be slippery.
