History of Texas Ranch Roundup

The Texas Ranch Roundup is the original event that recreates the cattle roundups of the late 1800s and early 1900s. Established in 1981, it was the first of many ranch rodeos across North America. It exclusively features full-time, historic Texas cattle ranches and their owners, hands, and families. The event showcases real ranch life alongside rodeo competitions. The rules developed by the founding committee continue to guide ranch rodeos worldwide. With a commitment to integrity and charity, the Texas Ranch Roundup has become a resounding success.
