Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze is an annual festival held in Westport Marina District every June. One of the biggest pirate events on the West Coast, the festival features pirate boats and tall ships, mini-brig battles, and dozens of costumed characters. The colorful performing crowd includes mermaids, magicians, belly dancers, fire dancers, and other entertainers.
Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze culminates with a grand parade, which usually takes place on the last day of the festival. The parade route goes along Westhaven Drive, Don't miss Half Moon Bay Pirates’ 30-ft (10-m) pirate ship, and other colorful entries!
The three-day Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze offers fun for all ages. The live music lineup usually includes themed entries like Celtic rock band Tempest or Twisted Knickers band out of Lakewood. The little ones can enjoy inflatables, a rock wall, sword fighter demonstrations, black powder demos, and much more. Food and craft vendors will be available in the Marina area, To take part in the Costume Contest, attendees are encouraged to dress up in pirate attire and blend in with the crowd of Half Moon Bay pirates.
