Winter is rather cold in Chicago, so it's the perfect time to visit Chicago's museums which are indeed hiding many treasures within. Every January, for nine days straight, the city’s top institutions present Museum Week filled with culture, art and knowledge. You can take advantage of special exhibitions, discounts and in some cases free entrance. Illinois residents receive up to 25% discount at all museums.
From culture and arts to constellations and space, visitors can explore Chicago’s best institutions and benefit from special offers.
Chicago Museum Week gives visitors a chance to discover some of the city’s cultural gems, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Science and Industry, and Chicago History Museum. Adler Planetarium offers sky shows in the newly renovated Definiti Theater.
Lincoln Park Zoo invites people for to check out penguins and participate in special animal programs. Museum of Science and Industry offers discounts while Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum can take you for a trip to remote rain forests, inhabited by exotic birds.
