Sled at the speed of light or go down on a snow tube enjoying the fresh powder snow that Colorado is renown for. Colorado has plenty of places for winter-time entertainment during skiing season which is from late November till mid-April for most resorts.

Copper Mountain’s tubing hill has four designated tubing lanes with great equipment. Try out a “magic carpet ride”, and go spinning down over snow bumps. There is Critterland, a tiny play area for small children. Also, the Frisco Adventure Park nearby boasts 360-m tubing lanes.

The Meadows at Elk Camp near Aspen has a few lift-served lanes with illumination at night. Every Friday there is a special entertainment program to celebrate Ullr, the Norse god of snow with sledding and fire-dancing.

Snow Mountain Ranch in Winter Park also has a tubing area. There is also an ice-skating rink, Olympic-size swimming pool and indoor climbing wall for more fun activities.

Telluride’s is one of the oldest and most famous resorts in Colorado. It has a great sledding facility at Firecracker Hill. Telluride is also famous for its apres-ski food. You might want to check out High Country Tubing Park in Pagosa Springs or Vail's Adventure Ridge and Ellefson Park in Vail as well.
