Lime Season in Mexico 2025
A lime complements every dish and beverage available in traditional Mexican menus, the only exception is coffee
Best time: June–August
Mexican tequila lime pie, Yucatecan lime soup, Mexican grilled chicken in lime marinade, Mexican lemonade, and a range of other traditional Mexican delicacies involve limes.
Local cuisine is unimaginable without this small sour fruit which accompanies every meal all day long from breakfast through lunch and dinner. It’s present in salads, main courses, soups, beverages, snacks, and even desserts.
The only thing where lime hasn’t been used so far is coffee. As to the season, limes can be found year-round, but the peak months are June through August.
