The festival honors the famous American playwright Tennessee Williams, who loved New Orleans. The program includes a lot of workshops, readings, and other literature-related things. However, the highlight of the festival is its closing "Stella and Stanley Shouting Contest" event, where everyone disturbingly calls Stella as in the renowned movie "A Streetcar Named Desire", based on Williams playwright.
