Visit one of the best museums in San Francisco
Best time: all year round
The Walt Disney Family Museum is located in the Presidio of San Francisco, California, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Museum features contemporary, interactive galleries with state-of-the-art exhibits narrated in Walt's voice alongside early drawings, cartoons, films, music, a spectacular model of Disneyland, and more. If you want to get a one-of-a-kind experience and have ultimate fun, head to this place for sure.
Interactive Disney Exhibits
The Museum is dedicated to the life and legacy of Walt Disney and occupies three existing historic buildings on Presidio's Main Post. It was first opened on October 1, 2009. The exhibition features the Lilly Belle locomotive and several train cars from Walt Disney's Carolwood Pacific Railroad. Ten interactive galleries showcase drawings and animation, movies, music, listening stations, and a 12-foot diameter model of Disneyland. Most interestingly, there is a Fantasia-inspired digital Theater screening of Disney films.
