Haeundae Sand Festival Dates
The Haeundae Sand Festival 2024 will run from May 24 to May 27. During this time, craftsmen will create sculptures, and visitors will be able to observe this process and attend festival activities. However, the sculpture exhibition will continue until June 9.
Haeundae Sand Festival 2024 Program
The 2024 Festival will take place at Haeundae Beach, where professionals will create impressive sculptures. This year's theme is is World Art Museum Tour. Also, all events of the festival will take place in a specific thematic panel, such as Boom Up, Amazing Museum, Funny Museum, and Fantasia Museum.
The festival will begin with a cappella opening performance, a drawing show opening performance, and a fireworks show. There also will be an acoustic band, EDM dance party, DJ party, and welcome performance at the event site every 15 minutes. On other days of the festival, guests will be able to visit the World Sand Sculpture Exhibition, Sand Observatory, AR Stamp Tour, Speed Sand Sculpture Competition, sand surfing on a 3 feet (10m) high sand dune, a beach ball race, the Children's Sand Museum, and much more.
Festival History
The 1st Haeundae Sand Festival was established in 2005, as a commemorative event for the D-150th day of the 2005 APEC Summit. The festival welcomes approximately 450,000 visitor per year to its events.
