Apricots are truly the fruits of the summer. In Cyprus, you can find a whole range of its kinds—big or tiny, dark orange or pinkish yellow, sweet and meaty, or juicy and stiff.
The harvest period for apricots is between the end of May and July. This is when you can get lots of fresh fruits and also enjoy other goods made of apricots. Probably the best variety of such goods can be found during the annual Apricot Festival in Esentepe. Cypriots prepare wine, marmalade, pastries, jam, and preserves from these fruits - try some and have fun.
