In the summer there is a higher chance for the Hawaiian Islands to be hit by tropical cyclones or hurricanes. Central Pacific water basin experiences cyclones from June to November, however they are more likely between July and October. August is the peak month for hurricanes which may approach the islands from the east.
The good news for everyone planning a vacation at this time is that Hawaii gets hit by hurricanes quite rarely due to its high-pressure feature which keeps the weather steady and warm all year round. However, due to recent climate changes hurricanes, storms and typhoons reach Hawaii more often, causing strong winds and tropical downpours.
